The village Bhalot is very beautiful. It is also very big. I also live there. It is situated near Fateh Jang and Taxila. His population is about 3000 (three thousand). My some family also live here. I am very happy here. I love my village. There is also one factory here. The name of factory is Fauji Cement factory.

Wasif Nawaz has attended an English medium school since the age of
5. His school is in the North West Frontier Province (Fazelhaq College, Mardan).
Although he likes his school he has told me he misses his family very much when he
is there and enjoys his long holidays in Bhalot. He comes back ot the village one
weekend a month and speaks to his father once a week on the telephone. He and his
