Song No. 45

 1   ro tamba nga lungonzholo.
   I played with lungonzholo.
2   ro vusa mudzimu washu nga lungonzholo.
I greeted our ancestor spirit with lungonzholo.
 Chorus:  Nga lungonzholo.

This was known at Thengwe, but not in the other districts where I attended vhusha. Nobody could explain its meaning, except to suggest that lungonzholo referred to the position in which the 'dancers' kneel. Each one kneels down, keeping the body straight from the knees upwards, then places the left leg in a kneeling position on the ground directly in front of the right knee, against which the left foot is placed. The movement is repeated with alternate legs, and the hands should be clapped in front as each leg is placed on the ground. It is hard to keep balance, and so they tend to wave their arms around while moving.
