Using data from the State of Soul Registers

Data on households from the 18th century State of Souls registers of Ascoli Satriano can be analysed using this form. The program produces tables showing total number of cases and percentages of each column heading for each row. Unless you wish to look at a topic for all years, you must choose a year to examine (the default is 1754).

Each query produces two tables. The first takes the house itself as the definition of household, the second uses the divisions marked in the registers. You can compare the difference that the use of these definitions makes to analysis.
