28/7 Sleymanli - Mill. Haci - very discontented - says the mill is only making 25TL a day, and gives a lot of trouble, 3 days duty in 9, and then 24 hours a
day.
Barley is 90k. a snk; capacity 40 snk an hour, but takes 1 in 15 - this gives about 2.50TL an hour.
Costs: fuel 1.30 per hour, and oil - say 1.10{?} an hour - this leaves only 80k profit against their time and capital.
Rye - 1.50k., Wheat 2.00k per sinik, takes 1 in 20, capacity about 60 sinik per hour - i.e. 4.30 per hour, wheat, 2.80 rye. A whole day on wheat would give
100TL.
From now on, less barley (has been a lot, people having nothing else left). Rye will presumably be commonest. Haci said the old means of making money
were much better, and much more comfortable - no more peace and comfort now.
