Visited by i(Esme Kul), wife of i(1430 Mustafa Kul) (Dkkanc) {shopkeeper} and 2 of her neighbours, all under impression, apparently, till I told them who I was
at the end of our conversation, that I was the wife of the marangz {carpenter} teacher. Curious that they should have made this confusion. It seems that
Zeynep is as strange to them as I am - or that they expect her to be as strange - and I no stranger than she.
