i(6587 Aye) Quite a bit of hiring out of labour in this village at busy seasons. e.g. her son i(Ahmet Ylmaz) hired out to i(Karabey Bykelba) { largest village
landowner, recently deceased; his land not yet divided. She speaks of him as still alive} to help with harman and dven - they will give him 15 batman of
potatoes at the end. She makes agreements to help someone with their harman, reaping, etc. for so much in cash or more frequently in grain ( zeri) {grain, may
be gleanings; or for sowing}. Didn't hire herself out this summer. Her brothers in Karaday went as rak {annually hired agric. servant} to other households
because her own father was poor.
