30 T.L., showed me tulle scarf costing 4 T.L.. Talked of ordering material to alter a skirt - it shouldn't cost more than about 2.5 T.L. - as if that were an
easy consideration for her. Has Western style costume - coat and skirt - of heavy brown serge. Regret that she cldn't. wear these in village unless there was
special occasion, else she wld. be mocked for giving herself airs. (see E.1. p. 78 & 147).
