Village - Internal.

Topics of Conversation.

Women not at all prudish in their conversations one with another - e.g. ask each other if they're with child quite frequently, just as they ask me. Details of
conceptions, pregnancies, labours, periods figure quite freely in their conversations.

Interest in my anatomy - whether it's the same as theirs - and hence ask me about it a lot, and talk about theirs. What are my breasts like, do I have periods,
how long does a baby take to form in me? Same open interest in underclothing - no shyness, or prudishness in asing - "what do you wear underneath' - bakalm".
{let's see}

Gendarme Onba's wife, in middle of conversation, says - "do you wear short or long knickers? - we wear short, not like the village women" in matter-of-fact
tone of voice.

k<lack of prudishness, curiosity of women, M's implicit reaction>
