Topal i(Hseyin Cokun)'s oda. Conversation about names. i(Fatime Aydn) says generally mother names girl child, father names boy child. i(Yre Cokun) - argued
that the father-in-law, mother-in-law, generally do the naming of a newborn child.
Both agreed that in Elba, if possible, the Hoca is called in for the naming of the child - he reads over the child.
Fatime:- Yaar can be the name given either to a boy or a girl - if a woman has had miscarriages, or lost babies in infancy, and wants living child, she may
give name "Yaar" - 'may he (she) live."
