They said males more than females not 70/30 but probably 60/40.
"Devam" ok deisti {continuing has changed much} - everyone now wants sons to go on and many girls also. Almost all children begin.
I tried to ask about relevance. They said changes in "program"

1962 - new one
1968 - new one
Now e.g. teachers divided children into groups within their class. No streaming i.e. 1st class is not divided by ability.
Now - children are expected to do much more for themselves, to make their own "program" (?). Much better - they say.
