Went late-ish to find i(Mehmet Gigim) in his shop; he was at the "kahve". He came - i(Vahap) cross -
and after a brief bargaining demanded TL50,000. I gave in - being publicly isolated.
Very angry at the time.

We came out to find i(Meht. G.) fixing electricity. Electricity due - has not yet come, but i(Yasar Kayr) our neighbour is providing it by long cable.
Water - from i(Mehmet B) or from i(Yasar Kayr).
We hung around, unpacked the few things we had brought and left for Sakaltutan around 5.00.
12/12.
i(Emine) & I packed furiously. Left c. 10.50 with a very full car. i(Vahap) & i(Metiye) could not be fitted in. i(Vahap) had the solution. Send him with
luggage by bus. This we did with complete success. We reached vlg. & went straight to our house about 2.00 pm, & began cleaning & unpacking. i(Metiye) went to
sleep. i(Vahap) arrived duly & we shopped in the well-stocked shop.
i(Metiye) woke up & got supper. We met neighbours - i(6152 Aye zcamuzca) called, & boy called i(Efendi), son of i(1453 Osman zkan) (Karabey). He is learning
English. Came as spy ?
i(Metiye) cooked supper for us all, & we sat on the hot stones of the doorway in the cool evening.

i(Ali Osman Cumuyen) called.
p.m. i(Ibrahim Giyim) called & talked a lot & finally was kicked out about 3.30.
Then we all went to see Muhtar. It turned out that Ekrek would telephone Bnyan, so we went to
Ekrek - I and i(Beki). He phoned and said they could come this evening.
