i(0022 Selahaddin) on cows.

Feed does not cost 1,000 TL a day, but varies and in any case is from household supplies. But even if daily costs over a year balance out on milk/feed, a
calf two years old fetches 200,000 TL to 300,000 TL, and costs much less than 100,000 TL for the two years in feed.
[A calf a year thus produces on a TL1/2m. c. 150,000TL net profit p.a., at least 30-40%. Labour is considerable but no "opportunity" costs for family
labour.
Risks are high. Death or infertility are always possible.]
As i(0022 Sel.) said, if it were not profitable, why does everyone do it?
Veterinarians. He said he tried to get a good vet. - the man wanted the taxi fare to the village and raised other difficulties. Went to a private vet, who
came out and made a charge, gave some medicine but the animal died anyway.

No decent vet service for sick animals.

i(0024 Salih) going back.
