1963 i(0047 Hidayet) and i(5853 Arefe) moved to Antalya.
1971 She went officially to Germany "hadinlar ici buklemek yoktu".
6 months later she got him to Germany - some factory. She changed her job once.
1984 She got a disablement pension (worth 230,000TL at current prices).
She goes to Germany to collect it, in case they reduce it if they know she is living in Turkey.
She has only been back less (than) 1 year.
She was happy "rahat" {gl : comfortable} - pension, ko caliyordim.{?}
But she came because she wants Serkan to be educated in Turkey. He is going to orta this year. He will do English and thus have three languages. He visits
Germany not to forget. She drives back and forth - her own car.
i(5853 Arefe) is a muteahhit, with i(0552 Bekir's) help.
They owned already an arsa, two dkkan, and daire, {gl : building plot, 2 shops and apartment} in which she is now living.
She is building 2 dkkan and 3 flats.

1. i(5870 Semiye) was married to a primary school teacher. Very cnservative.

He would not allow her to have bare arms e.g. She left him for 5 years and went to Germany. To please father they are together.

He earns 60,000TL a month and so they are living in i(5853 Arefe's) flat. i(5853 Arefe) and damal {?}are ks. He disapproves of her openness.
i(Saniye) is confident and open and dislikes her husband.
She has a young baby as well as the little girl.
She was working in Germany but her husband refuses to let her work in Antalya. She wishes to. Recently he has said she can if she wishes, but she is unhappy
about doing so with such grudging permission. Maybe she will. Fluent German.
2. i(5870 Semiye) and i(0553 Adnan) are in Germany. i(5870 Semiye) is working, like her mother, and i(0553 Adnan) (like her father) raises no objections.
3. i(Serfil) is also in Germany married to "Uakli" - a very quiet man. He is the best imi.
4. i(Sullan). When she was still in Germany, primary school, i(Boris (Zanguldalik)) began to pursue her.

He asked for her when he was a 24 year old student and she was 14. i(0047 Hidayet) refused. Then they found out that for 6 months "sevimiler" {gl : they had
been lovers} so they were forced to agree.

i(Boris) is a bad husband, they do not get on, he says she is "kltrsz". Very unsatisfactory.
I asked i(5853 Arefe) general questions. She said lots of people - her brother and i(0047 Hidayet's) brothers - disapprove.
She wants to continue as a 'muteahhit' after this building, but i(0552 Bekir) is against it. Why can she not be a normal woman?
She says "eitlik: ben erkek gibi" {gl : "we are equal: I'm as good as a man"}. She seemed not to have any general ideas about sexual inequality, though when
I pressed she did express general disapproval. "God made us equal".
Her sister does not disapprove but said she has a normal husband and could not possibly behave like her sister. i(5870 Semiye) complained of her husband's
repression and restrictions. "ok kizhan icli"{?}. Five years separation had improved things.
She insisted several times that she has supported i(0047 Hidayet). All property in their joint names.
