| I attended all rites at one domba (Thengwe), which lasted over a year, as well as the final two weeks of another (Makuya). I recorded activities during the middle of nine other madomba, and in all cases I discussed with masters of initiation and others the rites that were practised in each district (Makonde, Khubvi, Dzamba, Thononda, Lwamondo, Tshisahulu, Phiphidi, Ha Rasengane, Ngovhela).
