Initiates dance and sing i wa early in the morning. |
This song is sometimes referred to as i a wa (the redness has fallen), but I have always heard it sung i ya ya. The redness of the sky before dawn is compared to the redness of menstrual blood, which in fact may be referred to by the word .
This is sung only on the first and last morning of vhusha, when the old ladies are present. |
